PURSUE A RESOLUTION

A COMPLETE UTILITY INVESTIGATION, AUDITING AND RESOLUTION SERVICE

Utility problems are difficult to resolve on your own. Meters are read incorrectly, bills are unclear, charges are misallocated, queries go unanswered and the amounts in dispute keep growing.

Greatworth assists property owners, body corporates, homeowners associations, shopping centres, retail groups, landlords, tenants and property managers experiencing utility account, metering, billing and recovery problems on Eskom accounts and municipal utilities nationwide. We investigate the facts, organise the evidence and help you take the appropriate next steps.

We do not claim that every account is incorrect, and we do not guarantee that every problem can be resolved. What we do is establish the facts, explain what we find and help you pursue a practical resolution. Where specialist technical work is required, it is performed through suitably qualified technical partners.

We Help

Select the category that describes you and we will take you straight to the enquiry form.

Our Investigation-First Approach

A structured six step process. We investigate first, before asking you to commit to a full paid investigation or audit.

01

Initial Enquiry

You explain the utility problem you are experiencing, or identify the service you require.

02

Preliminary Research & Fact-Finding

We review the information reasonably available to us to determine the nature of the issue, identify possible discrepancies and assess whether further investigation appears justified.

03

Preliminary Findings

We communicate the initial findings, explain any missing information and recommend possible next steps.

04

Proposal & Approval

Where a comprehensive investigation is appropriate, we provide a written proposal specifying the scope of work, fees, third-party costs and recommended actions.

05

Comprehensive Investigation & Resolution

Once you approve the proposal in writing, we undertake the agreed work. Depending on the matter this may include detailed audits, consumption analysis, technical assessments through qualified partners, account reconciliation, provider engagement, dispute follow-ups and recovery support.

06

Reporting & Outcome

You receive updates and a summary of the findings, actions taken and the outcomes achieved or still outstanding.

WE INVESTIGATE FIRST, BEFORE ASKING YOU TO COMMIT TO A FULL PAID INVESTIGATION OR AUDIT.

Greatworth first conducts preliminary research, investigation and fact finding using the information reasonably available to us. Where the preliminary findings justify further work, we explain the recommended action, scope, fees and anticipated third-party costs before you approve a comprehensive investigation in writing. We do not charge for the comprehensive investigation before the scope and fees have been communicated and accepted in writing.

The initial assessment is limited in scope. It is not a full technical audit and it does not guarantee that an error, refund, recovery or saving will be identified. Not every utility account is incorrect, and we cannot guarantee that every problem can be resolved.

OUR GOAL

To ensure that every utility account, meter installation, tariff application and recovery charge is accurate, transparent and fully supported by verifiable data.

Utility costs are one of the largest ongoing expenses on any property, yet they are rarely verified line by line. Metering errors, incorrect tariffs, misallocated consumption and unrecovered charges can continue for years without being identified.

Our work is structured around evidence. We gather the readings, statements, invoices and allocation records, test them against each other, and report what the data actually shows so that decisions are made on verifiable facts rather than assumptions.

We do not issue municipal clearance certificates and we do not replace conveyancers. Regulated technical, metering and testing work is performed through suitably qualified technical partners, and legal or other specialist input is referred to appropriately qualified practitioners.
